I have had this figure since 84 when I bought him new, but the mask only came with paint for the beard, no paint for the mustache, eyes and eyebrows. Is this just a factory error or is it a variation? I have talked with a couple people before and they say that they have seen the same thing from time to time, one said it's just an error and the other said it's a variation. I never played with the mask because of this, it just never looked right :D

That's weird, mine had all the mask painted.

You can get the Funskool Zartan, he comes with a fully painted mask and is cheaper than trying to find the original on Ebay.

My cousin had a mask that was unpainted except for the beard. If it's an error, it may be an unusually common one.

I use the mask from the 2001 Zartan since it's too expensive to get the original.

I know this is an old post but I ran across a Zartan mask that is the opposite of this. Everything is painted except the beard. Any ideas?

Could be funskool or a 2001 Zartan mask.
