I am definatly going to be there again. The one in April was my first one, and I loved it. I already got the day off. Need to get some weapons, and a few other figures.

It was also my first toy show. I had a couple of nice pick ups.....I also kick myself about passing up a few things....

I'm going to get there early and sell bottled water in the parking lot. Nonetheless, I'm hoping for a hot and steamy june day.

I will be there as well. I'm not setting up a booth at this one, I will be in October though. Is anyone who's going interested in a terror drome shell? well, there is quite a few parts in it, but it is far from complete. PM me & I will bring it with tongue.gif

Alas, this will be the first Kane County show I'll miss since I first started going in October '95. June shows have really been disappointing for me the last 2 years or so. Nowhere near the number of dealers as April and October. I'd toyed with the idea of not going this year anyway. The clincher was that I'm moving to a new house June 26th. I don't think the Mrs will appreciate it much if she has to move 50+ boxes of Joes, Star Wars, Exo Squad, and comics!

I wasn't really planning to go to the show (saving money for the Con), but if someone wants to use this as an excuse to throw an after-show BBQ, I'm in!

Great!! But still have a few questions.
1. What is the admisson for general public on saturday?
2. Is there going to be a parking fee?
3. It opens at noon right? So whats best time to get there?
4. Do all YoJoe members meet up at a central spot?
5. Are prices higher or lower then avg at one of these.
6. This is my first one, and still have to convince the wife to let me take at least a $100.00 to go.
7. Is $100.00 enough for first time? How much do you bring? Do you go shopping nuts?
Your help is appreciated.

$6

No.

3. It opens at noon right? So whats best time to get there?

Before Noon if I remember correctly...

4. Do all YoJoe members meet up at a central spot?

We tried meeting at ChrisNeal's booth last time......Nobody showed up at the same time.

5. Are prices higher or lower then avg at one of these.

Higher on high end items, usualy lower on the cheap stuff.

7. Is $100.00 enough for first time? How much do you bring? Do you go shopping nuts?

Depends on how much you want to buy. Joes only make up a small portion of the booths, probably about 20-25 total...

I haven't met most of you yet. But Nomad & Chris Neal are totally cool. I just moved & I'm close by the fairgrounds (15 minutes) but I don't have a grill yet, though you are welcome to come by & have some beers

My father and I are toying with the idea.

Are there really deals to be had here, like real flea markets or garage sales, or is it more like a professional toy show?

Just wondering if it's worth the 3 hour drive down from Madison.

I wont make it this time. I have been in the past & it just wasnt as big as the other 2. I will be at the October show though.

It is more flea market style. I don't know what you'll find there or if it would be worth a 3 hour drive for you. Thats gotta be your call. For me it's no biggie, I just drive a few blocks. I probably wouldn't drive 3 hours, but I know others do like Chris Neal.

Correct, just for this June show. Dealer set up is at 8AM I think and open to the public at noon Saturday the 26th.

They really scaled back on this show. It's usually not the busy anyway. There's not very many dealers. I just didn't think that they would cut it down half of a day.

Off hand do you know the cost of a booth?

Blayloxzuess
06-16-2004, 08:33 AM
$150 for a 3 table booth. I won't have a booth this time. In October I will.

ChrisNeal
06-16-2004, 08:43 AM
The show is pretty big when its a 2day show (sat/sun) This is the smallest show of the year. Its a 1 day Saturday only show. Im going to be driving 6hrs to go to it, just because 1 its fun to hang with everyone, and 2 i ALWAYS find something to spend my $$ on.

As for the BBQ, Blayloxzuess's place is cool if he's cool with it. Im sure we can find a Charcoal grill for $25 at k-mart or SOMETHING!

We do need a time and place for all the yojoe'ers to meet up this time, hey and guys.. try and be on time this time! lol. Any suggestions?

Softassylum... If my father and I make the trek down, do you want to carpool? Might cut down on gas money.

Anyone is Madison thinking about going? (Jeff, Farhat?)

Maybe we could meet on the bleachers in the grandstand?

Hi everyone. Well I got the money, but got a crap load of guilt to go with it. As it was mentioned to me by a coworker of all people, my brakes are out. So spending money on toys when I dont have brakes, which are overrated anyway, I drive a jeep wrangler, stick shift, who needs brakes?

But yeah, and seeing as this is a small one, I think I am going to go to the one in Oct. Hope to meet all of you then. Have a great time and please post about some great finds to help me feel even more like crud! smile.gif

Question,

Are these things cash only, or do dealers accept checks or credit/debit cards?

Blayloxzuess
06-17-2004, 06:25 AM
mostly cash only :(

I am all up for meeting some of the fellow Yojoe members.

Also, ChrisNeal, and I think one or two others said they aren't going to have a booth, but would be bringing some stuff along. Well, I am looking for the following if any of you guys have any of it:

Headhunters (prefer loose and V1, but will take V2 as well)
Loose Ninja weapons (such as swords, etc..preferably the older RAH and NF weapons, not the new JvC ones)
Snake Eyes V4 (1991) complete or MOC

See you guys there!!

Eric

I have the Snake Eyes V4 (1991) MOC. I will be wearing a black hat that says "Blaylox" on it. I suggest we all meet outside the building that Chris Neal set up at last time (Don't know what number it was?) at 1PM. But Whatever works for everyone works for me :D

General Liederkranz
06-18-2004, 11:05 PM
Which building? Is it the big cream-colored cinderblock one?

koppen
06-19-2004, 10:09 AM
I am definatly up for meeting up. Chris Neal's building was the one kind of far from the main buildings, that had the food right? If so, I am all up for meeting at 1:00. Last time didn't work out for me because I didn't know abou tCN's building, I thought it was just those main line of buildings. Oh well. I eventually got there late, met Chris Neal, and purchased a few stuff from him.

Just one week. And Blaylox, bring that MOC 1991 Snake Eyes, I will most likely buy it from you.

Blayloxzuess

yes, the building with the food

Me and GBPackRat are coming. If anyone has a 1984 Mutt and Junkyard MOC, I'd be willing to talk sale. that is probably the #1 thing I am looking for right now. Looking forward to meeting all of you.
