Could somebody please explain this kinda "Shock Rock" or "Performance Metal" (or whatever it is they're now calling it) to me please? Is this like Gwar or something? A heavier version of Blue Man Group perhaps? :D

hey obiwan... go download a song called Solitaire/Unraveling... (make sure you have the "/" in there... anyone who spells it without that is dumb...) if that doesnt make you an INSTANT fan, nothing will... its a B-E-A-UTIFUL song...

and gung-ho... i went to the show the next night at the rave in milwaukee too... ;) i'll put those pics up soon too... had to crotch the camera though, as the rave is run by nazis... managed to sneak 3 in however.... ;) youd be amazed how many hidden pockets are in a pair of BDU's and a ranger tactical vest :D :D :D

Hey Beach, WOW, didnt realize you lived so close.

One of the best raves that I ever went to was the the Rave/Eagle. Three floors with diffrent dj's on each. Quiet room etc etc. Yeah, that was New Years 1999.....ah the memories.....of what I can remember... ;)

I've always been a big fan of the Rave, but never explored much outside of the Eagle's Ballroom.

The Eagle's Ballroom was a perfect venue for a medium sized wrestling show, I saw 3 ECW events there!

new pics up... (some)band members (w/o masks) and a couple i took last summer after Ozzfest... i'll put up pics of the concert at the Rave later...

Jeff... seriously, i HATE the rave... no cameras, no moshing, no body surfing... and after this last concert, a bunch of fans went to go hang with the band out by the tour bus, (just like we did the night before, at Ryans...) and this prick security guard came over and told us we couldnt stand by the bus... we had to go stand on the sidewalk (it WAS FREAKING cold, and we were using the two busses as a wind breaker i even gave up my vest to this chick i took ;)) so instead of standing on the sidewalk like idiots, we all turned to leave and as we were walking away towards the Jeep, the security guards yells "HEY! Where're you going?" "uh... we're going to the Jeep" "yeah, we're leaving.." "can we do that? or does it say on our tickets we have to stand on the sidewalk?" "prick" lol. those guys there are just jerks. the only reason i go is for Mushroomhead, Motograter, Otep, or a very short list of other bands that i love.... otherwise, if i dont LOVE the band, its jsut not worth the hassle... hell, i even got the 3rd degree about the pair of BDU's i wore to the concert by the guy that frisked me... asking me if i was in the army, and if not why was i dressed like that... he just rolled his eyes when i tokd him the band dresses like this... you'd think they'd KNOW what the bands that play there look like, right?

anyway, new pics up, YAY! :D ;) :D

I always had good times at the Rave shows, except for Tenacious D (the D is much better in small doses, as an opening act.) The bathroom situation leaves a lot to be desired too, they were always disgusting by about halfway through the show.

ECW shows were always the best there, on two different shows I ran into wrestlers at the Open Pantry (or whatever it's called now) across the street. The first time it was Tajiri, Masato Tanaka, and Wing Kanemura, and the other time it was Chris Chetti.

****sigh**** I miss ECW.

never used the bathrooms... i always go before the show... ;) i usually have great time too, 'cept when security is involved (aint that always the way? ;) :D) like when i was taking pics at this last show... i saw some security dude eyeing my camera... i bet dollars to doughnuts he'd have stole it if i was close enough to him...jerk.lol. but they hauled out at least a half dozen people for moshing...and it wasnt even that bad a mosh pit... but whatever. i'll still go so long as they still have Mushroomhead there. i jsut wont like it as much as Ryans...

The Rave is a pretty cool place. The Eagle is pretty cool that you have the option to be on the floor or the balcony.

I was there for The Strokes and people were moshing, I know moshing at The Strokes, but anyway no one did anything.

I got elbowed in the head by this kid and I turned around a laughed, said it was cool. About a minute later I got a punch in the back, no big deal... Then about 30 seconds later the same kid slaps me in the ear... I thought "hmmm... what to do..." I grabbed the kid by the neck and launched him into his friends. I did it with a very friendly smile tongue.gif

Anyway, the bathrooms are pretty bad, but overall it's a nice place.

How long has that been in effect because when I was there, there was moshing all over the place. Nothing hardcore, being The Strokes, but it was still happening.

its always been a rule, but they just recently started REALLY enforcing it... and honestly, i bet it has something to do with the LAST Mushroomhead concert that was there back in October... between them and Motograter, i just about died... that pit was INTENSE... i mean REAL bad... fun, enjoyable... but just completely hardcore... i was up in front against the rail for part of it, and we were being crushed....

The worst pit I was in was the one at Pearl Jam at Alpine in 1998. That was hell. A fight broke out and everyone around us were getting busted, but it was fun.

yeah, they do well enough for producing their first 5 albums by themselves, only their last one was done through an actual label...
