View Full Version : Value question
Richard J. 07-12-2004, 02:41 AM Hey all,
I'm trying to figure out what two of my figures are worth. They are the 1993 Convention Jinx and a 1982 Rock N Roll on card. The Rock N Roll's card isn't exactly mint, but it's in darn good shape.
Also, does the first issue of the Master and Apprentice mini have any extra value yet? I remember a little while back there was an anouncement that they were having to do a second printing.
Thanks for any answers.
Yo Joe!

ChrisNeal 07-12-2004, 02:55 AM 93 Con Jinx MOC - $200-450, depending on seller and buyer
82 Rock & Roll - $100-275 depending on condition, and wether its swivel or straight arm.
My Generation Toys 07-12-2004, 02:56 AM I would say that the Convention Jinx is about $150.00 - $200.00, depending on its condition.
I can't really give you an accurate price on Rock n Roll, early carded figures have been up and down pretty much all year... well on ebay that is.
Richard J. 07-12-2004, 04:56 AM Thanks softassylum!
Thanks ChrisNeal!
I've been curious about them for a while and I think you've cleared up a few things. I'm not planning on selling either any time soon, but now I've got an idea where to start the bidding if I do part with them.

RotterdamTerrorCorps 07-12-2004, 05:18 AM Don't want to be negative, but items are worth nothing unless they are sold! Items are valued certain prices, but that does not guarantee you are actually getting those prices. What todays seller is willing to pay might be different tomorrow. Catch my drift?
Its like having stock. Some guys say they have $ 100,000.00 in stocks. Yeah so? If you don't sell it, you don't have the money, therefore it is not worth it.
But be glad it is a Joe and not stock. Vintage toys only tend to go up in price! :D
Anyway, if you plan to sell things it is better to start a little lower than at the maximum price. This way you attract more potential buyers. And the more potential buyers, the more competition, the more price will go up! :D
thunt4 07-12-2004, 11:06 AM If you plan on selling them let me know. If i was you I would not start the auction at a high price but start it low so you get more people bidding but just place a higher reserve. You will gain more interest that way.

And that is a proven fact. Something many sellers just haven't caught onto yet ;)

Thank you Captain Obvious! ;)
I would say Jinx is about $200 and the R&R is hard to tell without a picture.
Richard J. 07-12-2004, 10:12 PM Hey again!
Two points: First, thunt4, if I ever do sell these figures, I'll keep your interest in mind.
Second, RotterdamTerrorCorps, I see what your saying and I mostly agree. It is rather pointless to talk about what someone might pay you for an item if your not selling it. However, it's important to know what would be considered a good price. The lowest figure given on this thread so far was $150.00 for the Jinx. I didn't pay half that for her and, frankly, I feel a little bad about getting the bargain I did.
Not trying to start a fight. It's just in my nature to want to know things like this. I'm greedy. . . ;)
frenchy: If I can find my digital camera, could I send you a few pics of the Rock N Roll for your take on the card's condition?
Thanks everyone whose responded to this post!
