grass is from plastic grass sold in tiles-squares for outdoor garden use. I bought them from amazon.de but I am pretty sure you can find them in ebay or in stores for house-garden decorating.

or you can buy from hobbyshop mats for train modelling. (there are many options... woodland, dirt, road, desert etc)
