Over on his Tumblr page, Chris Ryall, editor in chief for IDW Publishing has posted a fantastic photo set showing the progression of the cover artwork for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #200. It shows the initial sketch by Larry Hama, with pencils & inks by SL Gallant, and then the final cover image.

I love the dichotomy between the classic Duke and Cobra Commander and the Pursuit of Cobra HISS...very interesting to read, too, that Gallant is now officially the longest tenure artist on the title. That is shocking, but very cool as well. It certainly helps that I'm a huge fan of his work.
