I think I would choose the original Viper 1.0--I'm not burnt out on them because I only have 1 of the original and not a single repaint whatsoever. I just love those original colors...

1.uber cool
2. easily broken pegs
3. scopes are alot harder to find then one would think

It depends on whether it's a GIJOE or COBRA army builder.

GIJOE-Shockwave(all three versions):

1. One of the first SWAT guys to be on GIJOE.
2. Awesome helmet or hat, depending on which.
3. Great gun(s).
4. DEF version came with a cool tank that had more stopping power than most missile launchers, but couldn't fire as far.
5. Cheaper than most army builders to obtain complete(except Night Force).
6. Unmasked version has the one of the best head sculpts.
7. Not too many people want an army of him.

COBRA Coils(wave 7)
1. Great colors.
2. They can ride on their motorcycles and shoot at the same time.
3. They're not as expensive to obtain now compared to a year ago.
4. They can cause a lot of trouble for GIJOE drivers.
5. They have the "don't mess with me" look.
6. They're perfect drivers to use for the Venom Cycles instead of those Venom Vipers.

As for which I'd pick, I dunno, there's a ton of good army builders. I'd probably go with the Crimson Guard. I've always liked them.

I think these are the hardest to come by . I probably would have to spend at least $400 to get 30 of them. I only have two but I am army building the agent faces CG cause they are easy and cheaper to come by, however, I am having trouble finding CG gear to arm them with.

There is nothing wrong with army-building "specific character" figures.

It's called having an imagination.

For example, why not army build Wild Weasels? He may be a specific character, but he looks like a generic Cobra pilot, of which one could assume there would be hundreds.

Likewise for Shockwave.
