    Cobra M.S.V

Is the chassis color of the canadian cobra M.S.V the same shade as the 1982 vamp and is the M.S.V trailer the same color as the sears Cobra S.M.S trailer?
    thanks

If by chassis you mean the dashboard, I would say yes. I'm currently comparing both and I don't really see a difference. Both are the same grey.

I agree with martin-montreal that the chassis for the MSV & the vamp (1982) are the same shade of grey. the Missile trailer for the MSV & the last variant of the missile trailer ( Wal-Mart) are not the same . The M.S.V is a dull black & the S.M.S missile trailer is a gloss/shiney black . I don't have a sears S.M.S. to compare my M.S.V. missile trailer to, I just have the Wal-Mart S.M.S. Also the MSV uses the same wheel mold as the G.I. Joe M.M.S , the Wal-Mart S.M.S DOES not use the same wheel mold- again not sure about the Sears S.M.S.

Are you trying to replicate a M.S.V. or just trying to verify the authenticity of one ? Incidentally, if your trying to replicate a M.S.V. set - theres a easy & somewhat cheap way to replicate the M.S.V. VAMP :

1)all black top shell to the PALITOY SAS panther (vamp)
    2) chassis from the 1998 cobra night attack stinger ( wheel hubs are a glass/shiny black - not dull black like the M.S.V. vamp)
    3) either get BLACK steering wheel, gas cans, roll bar & gas can rack from 1) tiger sting ,2) funskool MRF racing jeep or POLICE jeep or 3) look for parts on eBay
    4) gun from original vamp
    5) sticker set from Ruben @ www.rattlerrepros.com

    I hope this helps

I did a comparison of the Sears SMS and HeatSeeker a while ago, maybe these will help: http://forums.yojoe.com/showthread.p...ght=heatseeker

The body of the MSV trailer is the same jet black as the SMS, but the wheels are a different color. The MSV wheels are the same dark grey used on the 1982 MMS.
I did a review of the set here:
