European Standard Sample for the Action Force Air Defence Unit

Here is the Action Force Air Defence. This is a Standard sample. This piece was passed around the four internal departments at Palitoy/Hasbro for final approval before production. The cool thing about this sample is that the comments section actually has a comment. Standard samples are not commonly found with comments, since the toy was ready for final production at this point. So all the problems should have been found before this point. Anyway, this one actually has a production number on it. So we now know there were only 40,000 made with the collectible sticker cards offer. This one has sealed contents and the stickers are lady jay, mainframe, and zandar.

Thanks for sharing, Chris. I'm curious if the "light grey plastic components (M-3860)" matches the US color. The US version is lighter grey than the darker grey Action Force version I have. So was an early "first run" of the Air Defence in US light grey, and later in darker grey?

I do not know. I have to dig put my american version and compare the two.
