Over 1000 new GI JOE vintage listings + Eagle Force news!

SMALLJOES.com has been busy processing and listing some new vintage GI JOE offerings and they have over 1,000 new items available for sale on the site. If you haven't visited for awhile there is a lot to see. Quite a few early 80's items within these recent updates. As of this post, SMALLJOES is in the process of adding over 300 loose modern figures and vehicles from 25th Anniversary - Retaliation, so be sure to check out those sections as well.





SMALLJOES would also like to tell you about a Kickstarter that they think is very exciting for collectors of GI JOE and similar 4" action figures. Some of you may remember Eagle Force, a line of die-cast 2 3/4" action figures produced by Mego in the early 80's. Due to Mego's closure and probably being eclipsed by Hasbro's new GI JOE 3 3/4" line further series were not produced. Still, Eagle Force should be of contemporary interest to GI JOE fans because many of the comic book pulp culture influences behind GI JOE can be seen in Eagle Force as well.

Skip forward to 2016 - Fresh Monkey Fiction and Remco Toys have partnered to bring you a brand new Eagle Force 4" articulated action figure series! For those of you not familiar with a Kickstarter - you are essentially pre-ordering the product which provides the creator with investment funds to get the line finished and into production. The catch: the creator needs to meet the Kickstarter funding goal, or no money is collected and no product is produced. At a time when major toy companies aren't paying much attention to our collecting interests we are thankful to see entrepreneurs step up to get fun and interesting projects made. This model has been successful for other 4" action figure lines produced in recent years such as Marauder Gun Runners' Task Force figures, Boss Fight Studios' Vitruvian Hacks, and IAmElemental's "Courage" figures.

SMALLJOES loves this line and the design and strongly encourages you to check it out and support it today. Note that the Kickstarter ends on October 12th. As more people support this Kickstarter, the creator will be able to manufacture a larger product assortment, sweetening the deal, and making a lot more great toys available for your collection!
