Marissa Faireborn continues supervising the construction of Little Cybertron on Bikini Atoll. Transformers Arcee, Aileron, Wreck-Gar and others implant positive visions of Cybertron into the in status and on the brink of death Sideswipe. As the vision ends, Sideswipe loses his final spark and passes.

A furious battle between the MASK team and the VENOM team ends up with Matt Trakker defeating Miles Mayhem, even though he escapes they capture the rest of the VENOM team. Scarlett arrives to take the captured Sly Rax, Bruno Sheppard and Vanessa Warfield to a secret prison.

Matt Trakker goes to see Dr. Bender (aka Dr. Mindbender of Cobra) to learn more about his former MASK team members turned to work with VENOM’s Miles “Mayhem” Manheim. They look over the records of Vanessa Warfield, Sly Rax and Bruno Sheppard, which helps Trakker learn their histories. Lieutenant Lavigne (aka GI Joe’s Law) makes an appearance helping recruit Sly Rax to the MASK team and interacting with Miles Manheim.

Matt Trakker continues his conversation with Dr. Bender (aka Dr. Mindbender) regarding Bruno Sheppard and the rest of the MASK team that has turned against him. At the same time inside MASK headquarters, Zartan disguised as Brad Turner has stolen the tech specs on the MASK vehicles and has proposed to Gloria Baker and Julio Lopez that they prepare for war with the Transformers.

Revolution takes place in the "IDW Continuity", which is the continuity that was started by IDW in 2009 (not the ARAH comics Larry Hama currently writes). Also for all of the Transformers series, the "IDW Transformers Generation 1" continuity, which began in 2005, is now directly connected to GI Joe through the Revolution crossover. GI Joe characters will be appearing directly in many of these crossover titles.
