Cobra Rally WIP

Hey all -- I've finally started to venture into something outside Star Wars and have begun my first simple GI Joe diorama. It's based on the scene in the Marvel comic when Cobra Commander first introduces Fred I at a Cobra rally.

I still need to finish painting (and sealing) the custom figures. I also need to add flames to the torches.

I'd love to hear any suggestions.

hey, nice set up. id suggest a black rather than wood coloured podium. perhaps a red and blue bsackground, as the red on white could look a little empty. id also suggest steps up to the podium, as well as there being a slightly raised area where the speaker stands, to distinguish him from his lowly lieutenants. a microphone might add alot of detail, as would an armed escort (eg crimson guards surrounding the podium with their backs to it). 'lights' in front of the podium, facing the speaker would also look cool, and capture the shadow on the back effect tyrants seek ( eg stalin, hitler, etc).

it looks good though, these additions are just my humble opinion,

i love the torches! hopefully you cna find some col rubber flames like what come with torch for it!
