Thanks for the kudos. Considering how much time and when people are getting on the computer and the net, I think it is ripe for the picking as well as cost effective.

No rebirth of G.I. Joe = Not in the book business.

Original Question : "What if the line never came back in the late 90s?"
One thing is for certain, I would have never had the 750+ figures to photograph and write about in volumes 2 and 3 of our G.I. Joe Action Figure Archive books. And Volume 1 (vintage international figures) would have never been done either because Derek and I would have never met. He would probably still be doing Star Wars, and I probably would have been wandering from toy line to toy line trying to collect the things I thought were cool at the time. I would have still collected G.I. Joe items, and probably gotten more into the comic artwork or oddball licensed collectibles. But figures were always my first love with G.I. Joe, so I wouldn't have been as happy with other random Joe merchandise. I am very happy G.I. Joe toys came back in the 90's and it gave me a way to focus my toy collection. Sure there has been some bad stuff produced, but there has been a lot of great stuff too...just like in any toy line. Thankfully, Hasbro made enough so we could pick and choose what we liked.

    God Bless and Yo Joe,
