    Ever created your own Joe/Cobra/Other?

    Hey guys:

These last few weeks it seems like the boards have been discussing what Hasbro should do with the line, why won't they make more figures/characters,etc, etc. Well, why don't we take the initiative and create our own characters. Just curious if anyone has ever created their own Joes? I am sure you guys have.

I created "MUSTANG" a wild and crazy infantry buck Sgt who was tired of ate up young 2nd Lt's being his platoon leaders. Forced to decide between getting out of the army or living with it, MUSTANG decides to go to OCS where he is the top candidate.

Anyone else create their own Joes or COBRAs? I would love to hear about them. These can be character concepts or actual customized figs and vehicles. I always thought HIGH SPEED would be a neat vehicle codename with a driver, LOW DRAG (not DRAG QUEEN )

I always thought the SAS was WAY under represented- we need more!!! I also would like to create a German SWAT operative.

    STANDS ALONE!!

I've dabbled in a few. I made a robotic wild weasel (Not exactly original) I've also made myself and a lot of my friends into joes

There is ARAH style Widescope, ARAH style Rollbar, Ballistic,
    Rapid Fire & Hollowpoint

I also created some ARAH sculpt versions of NEW sculpt characters
like Barrel Roll & Crosshairs, Sgt Hacker, and of course Bombstrike

I always thought the original Mercer looked like his uniform was a Cobra-style outfit, so I used a second Mercer with different orange arms from a knock-off figure and gave him a helmet and christened him a Cobra M.P.

I used a Bronze Bomber Darklon body with some sort of white "space force" figure helmeted head (Lanard?), and call him a "Darklonian Knight", sort of Darklon's version of his cousin Destro's Iron Grenadiers.

I've assembled about 20 figures with various parts I thought worked together. But thats as far as I got. If I could ever get Alyosha or Shogi to paint them for me they'd be ready for names and jobs.

i agree with Curahee Chris, that is a great fro. Superb.
Ive been creating my own figs/characters for years now.
The first I had was called Mamba - Stalker (UK) with a one of Rock n Rolls gatling guns for a left arm, and Dr Mindbenders cape.
I see him as the General in charge of all of Cobras forces.
I made him when I was about 14-15.
I agree that the SAS is vastly under represented, so have made a couple of those. mostly just lbcs.
Also, I have several named Cobras who are part of Big Boas SF team.
Called the RRU, or Constrictors, they are from different parts of Cobra- former CG, Range Viper etc.
One day I might get round to finishing them too.

When I was about 13 or so, back in the early 90s, my friend and I designed a few characters that we dreamed of Hasbro making. The only one I finished entirely (full-colour picture and fiecard write-up) was Piledriver, a Joe demolitions expert who had arm-mounted pneumatic hammers (like Rumble the Transformer) which could switch out with drill & grenade launcher attachments...

I have a bag of unpainted would-be custom charcters including a battlefield surgeon (Pulse -- might change that), a stealth recon pilot (Flyby, complete with also-unpainted Stealth SHARC), ECM specialist (Scrambler) and the Black Major (from Action Force's Red Shadows). I have one finished custom figure, Coldblood (an individual-character Viper), and somewhere in some notepad or on some hard-drive I should have his filecard info...!
