Trolly trolls like to troll. It's what they do. It's what they were built for. Bred for. BORN for....

Wait a second, the 2.5 line is cancelled or is the 8 inch cancelled? I didn't care for the 2.5, but I like the 8 inch...

The 2.5 is cancelled, but the 8 inch figures are on hold for 2008. If sales do well, there will be more in 08. It seems to me that sales are doing well. And of course the "Sigma 6" name is gone.

Rumor is that it's gone. There is a possibility of the 8" scale returning, but it's highly unlikely, about as likely as Valor vs Venom/DTC style figures coming back. (Although that actually has a better chance...)

I don't get hating on Sigma 6. I didn't like a lot of the figures, but there was some neat stuff in the line. Plus it was really aimed at kids and we need kids to get into G.I. Joe to keep the line going.

Oh well...I truly hope it continues, but without a story/cartoon/comic it doesn't mean as much to me. Hey, at least it'll save me a ton of money. I can hunt for a silver caped Cobra Commander, and then I'm basically done. Kids are not going to buy a lot of these toys without a cartoon, movie or video game. They really are awesome toys. Eh...I'm aimlessly blabbering now...I think I have some good ideas, but what does Hasbro care? The way I see it, with the passing of Sigma 6, with what I hear of the "GI Joe" movie, with the state of political correctness today, GI Joe is dead . At least in any way close to what we grew up with.

Agreed. Especially from someone who collects toys. We need all the Joe fans we can get. I really don't like the 2.5 inch Joes, but man if someone else does more power to them.
