If they did it would have probably been issues 146-148. Those isues featured the Joe Star Brigade.\r\n

\r\n They came out much earlier than that, and I seem to recall one panel or two of them around a satellite, but I am not sure if that was in a comic or not.

\r\n I wonder if they were created for a story arc that ended up being scrapped.
\n
\nOr Hasbro came up with the Astro-Viper, but at the time of their release, Larry Hamma wasn\'t working on any story lines that involved actions in space and couldn\'t logically work them in.
\n
\nThat sort of thing happened a lot especially toward the end of the series.
\n
\nI mean look at the figures that were released during the Battle Corps releases. You hardly saw any of those characters or costume designs in the comic with few exceptions.\r\n

\r\n Thumbs up GI JOE Issue 21 "The Silent Issue" on Ebay (White Pages)\r\n

\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n What is meant by "White Pages" on ebay postings for Issue 21? and how does that seem to increase the value of this particular issue to such a hefty dollar amount?
\nThanks for any help guys.

\r\n
\r\n
...those robots that are in The Pit can transmit audio and video but the guys on the receiving end can\'t tell where the signal is coming from? I get that there\'s a GPS blackout, but you\'d think they would be able to get an approximate point of origin from the audio/video stream.
\n
\n
...those robots that are in The Pit can transmit audio and video but the guys on the receiving end can\'t tell where the signal is coming from? I get that there\'s a GPS blackout, but you\'d think they would be able to get an approximate point of origin from the audio/video stream.
\r\n \r\n
\r\n
\r\n
That bit did bother me a bit, but actually not for the reason you mention. To get a fix on a transmitted signal, you really need to do triangulation. So if Destro and his crew only had one antenna to receive the signal, it would be near impossible to figure out where it was coming from. Triangulation also requires fairly close proximity for accuracy, so that didn\'t bother me much.
\n
\nWhat bothered me more was the robots sending a signal from deep underground. That\'s not a small feat. My no-prize attempt of an answer is that they must be using Extremely Low Frequency. To give you an idea of this, I live in Wisconsin, which was formerly the host of one of the sites that the US Navy used to communicate with submarines. Wait, you say, they used a transmitter in Wisconsin to talk to submarines? Isnt\' WI about as land locked as they come? Yes, but that\'s the wonder of ELF. So if Destro\'s robots could tap into the PITT and use it as an ELF antenna, or something like that, then maybe it is feasible (if you don\'t think about it too much and start poking holes in that theory). I figure that most people haven\'t heard of ELF, but living in WI I have, so there is probably similar technology that I haven\'t heard of, and it must be something like ELF but more high tech. That\'s my story and I\'m sticking too it... but it was a weak point in the science of that story.\r\n

\r\n the reason \'white pages\' increase the value is because it is a sign that the comic has been well maintained. most comic books from that era have been well-read and become off white and worse.

What is meant by "White Pages" on ebay postings for Issue 21? and how does that seem to increase the value of this particular issue to such a hefty dollar amount?

\r\n So I\'m in the shop today skimming "G.I. Joe, Cobra Command" today, which looked promising because I think Dixon is a good author. The cover looks great, it\'s blacked out with an overhead shot of Duke or Hawk and a seabag on the ground. Part of the issue is training flashbacks, I guess. Scarlett sheds a tear when Snake-Eyes\' name "unknown" is called in the formation.
\r\n
\r\nAnd then someone walks up to Duke and says, "You\'re a colonel, effective immediately."

So I\'m in the shop today skimming "G.I.

Hi Skinny,
\n
\nSince you seem to know what\'s going on with the story arcs, could you please attempt to answer my question about the arcs in the other thread ("Chronological GI Joe")?
\n
\nI\'d like to know the issue # cutoffs for when one arc ends and another begins. Thanks.\r\n

\r\n
\r\nok lets see here I went to the JOereloaded forums and noticed that (probably the same over at IDW) when they post a thread on a particular issue at the bottom underneath the cover pic where it says "bullet points" it states what part of the story it is. for example:
\r\n GIJOE issue 11 is part 7 of cobra command

\nIs it known what IDW plans to do with the trade paperbacks?
\n
\nThe reason I ask is I have an odd assortment of issues:
\nGIJoe Vol 2 # 0,1,2,3
\nGIJoe SE # 1, 2
\nCobra Vol 3 # 1-6
\n
\nI need to figure out going forward if it\'s worthwhile to buy more individual issues to at least complete the arcs I\'ve started, or just start buying the TPs now.\r\n

\nwhich if you take out ads.. that is five issues per.

\nthis one says all three number 9s and GIJOE issue 10 are included
\nthat is all I could find though
\nIMHO I would buy the back issues up to number 9 you have half of the Cobra civil war and none of the cobra command arc.\r\n

\r\nThe 90-year-old comic book legend just fired off an AWESOME statement to fans after undergoing pacemaker surgery in L.A. last week, in which he proudly declares that he\'s not yet ready to become the Grimm Reaper\'s b*:
\r\n
\r\n"Attention, Troops!
\r\n
\r\nThis is a dispatch sent from your beloved Generalissimo, directly from the center of Hollywood’s combat zone!
\r\n
\r\nNow hear this! Your leader hath not deserted thee! In an effort to be more like my fellow Avenger, Tony Stark, I have had an electronic pace-maker placed near my heart to insure that I’ll be able to lead thee for another 90 years.
\r\n
\r\nBut fear thee not, my valiant warriors. I am in constant touch with our commanders in the field and victory shall soon be ours. Now I must end this dispatch and join my troops, for an army without a leader is like a day without a cameo!".

\r\n Does anyone have a good link or info on why Hama went back to Joe? I\'ve seen plenty of who/what/where/and a lot of history but not so much the why.
\r\n
\r\nAlso, I heard today there is about to be yet another book launched (FEB 2013), anyone have any info on that?

\r\n What happened to Zandar of the olden days? I don\'t think we saw him around very much.
\r\n
\r\nIn Marvel #51, it became known that he was "Zarana\'s brother", but never did I hear him called Zartan\'s brother. He was always just the brother to the sister of Zartan.\r\n

\r\n If you didn\'t pick it up, G.I. Joe 188 was a decent story, but the great thing was the intro of THE RED SHADOWS, a very cruel and formidable enemy for Joe. Glad I caught that BFTB anniversary news so I knew to expect it. Didn\'t know it was all coming out this soon though.\r\n
