For me, I don't count Zartan, Gold Destro, or Serpentor. To me their vehicles were more like big accessories. But feel free to mention them if they are your favorite.
For my money, the best figure to come with a vehicle is Steam-Roller. The dude had a crazy six pack and a tatoo. My Steam-Roller's arm broke off at the bicep at one point, but that only made him more of a badass in my Joe world. Definetly an underrated figure.

Cutter easily. He is probably the only Joe driver that I actually like. I hate Cross Country, Slipstream, Steamroller (he's the dude that drives the mobile command, right?) and Tollbooth. The drivers, IMO, are the worst character designs that ever saw the light of day. Tollbooth looks like the guy from Casablanca if poor ol' Bogey hadn't made it big in movies....
Cross Country is HORRIBLE...
So Cutter, because every other driver sucks (I forgot about Crank Case...UGH!), wins easily...

Keel Haul - there was just such an air of realism to him
Skidmark - and I don't even know why
Clutch v2 - for some reason, the tan looked so much better on him than green did
Cobras:
AVAC - awesome color scheme and a well designed figure
Strato Viper - something about this one reminds me of a WWII pilot
Nitro Viper - funky colors, but to me they work....MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.....

3. A.V.A.C.Once upon a time there were TV commercials for G.I.Joe comics. They were generated by an ad agency at the clip of four per year. Whatever was shown in the commercial had to be in the comic. I got stuck with Serpentor, Tomax, Xamot and a host of silly characters. I did my best to make them work because it was a matter of doing the job. If you have a squad of losers, you still have to go out on patrol. I drew the line at Cobra-La and a few others. There are no plans for future commercials.
