Well.... thats not terribly bad. If it went up to $6 I'd get a little queezy but $5.44 isn't too much of a spike.

Well I just bought wave 6 an hour and a half ago and it was still $4.88 per figure. Maybe your store raised the prices on it's own, or maybe someone messed up when they input the information into the computer

I might care if I could actually find anything at WalMart. Their toy section, like most of the store, is terrible. I have had some luck at Target and TRU. I was driving by a WalMart yesterday and didn't even bother to stop because they never seem to have anything worth bothering. As was already mentioned, raising the price of something they don't ever have is pointless.
