I have lots of 20backs and a few explosion backs, and that is not the punch hole Hasbro uses. It is, however, the punchtab that a cardback replica-maker uses:

The placement of the pricetag on the filecard, which looks like a cover-up app, hides where that replica-maker would usually write "Replica."

pitch6lack, yours looks legit to me. You can see the correct shaped punchhole on that one.

Anyway, that seller openly admits it's a reseal. I doubt anyone would dishonestly forge a cardback and then be honest about resealing a figure to it.

...unless somebody can show me this punchtab on a vintage figure. I've never seen it in the hundreds of MOCs that have gone through my collection. But every custom cardback I've seen has it...

In all honesty, I can easily have this punchtab made to accurately pass as authentic. However, that's not my goal and I'm certainly not going to teach anyone else how to do it.

As an update, the seller responded by asking how I knew and was I sure. Here's my response:

For starters, look at the hang tag. It is all wrong. There are other things I've done to it so I can tell its mine. Trust me. It is.

HigherStandard....you do CRAZY work....Ive told you that already. I make custom cards and am familiar intimately with the ins and outs of these cards and to be honest...I have a really hard time telling yours apart from the original. Good stuff man!

By the way, when are you posting your new stuff? Ive been waiting.

Thanks for the compliments. We (I have a friend that I work with on these) have Destro, Baroness and Scarlett pretty much done. I personally can't stand all of the negativity when I post my stuff. If I was out to rip people off, I probably could . All it would take is a few tweaks here and there. However, I make customs for fun but do like to make them available for others to enjoy as well.

Right now, I'm working on a display that will feel like you walked into a toy store isle from the early 1980's (Star Wars, MOTU, GI Joe, etc.). It's taking forever but that part of the fun! I'll post some pics a hisstank when I get the customs done.
