Fix for Gung Ho

I had a terrible time trying to get Gung Ho to hold any weapons in the prone or in a realistic manner. It was because the plastic in the elbows over lapped the bend in his elbow. I fixed this by carefully trimming the plastic with some toe nail clippers. The figure still looks great but now holds his weapon perfectly.

Does anyone else know of any quick fixes for other characters?

Trimming away at the front/inside third of the upper arm at the elbow joint is a basic fix for most of the figures. For figures with an extended but attached trigger finger, carefully separating the trigger finger will help with weapons that have trigger guards. The end result still isn't perfect (@&#$!* Star Wars figures can hold a rifle better), but it helps. Swapping out the included weapons for better quality versions can also improve the figure (especially in cases where the cartoon rifle is included).
