An Awesome Old Store Stock Find-Please Read

    Hey:Guys,

So without getting into too much detail, I've come across a goldmine of older (1982-1986) Gi joe sealed Moc and Misb items. The guy I have been talking to says he has connections to get multiples of almost every vehicle from 1982-1989. For all I know there might be cases of the stuff.

The awesome thing is he told me he is pricing things based on Lee's Price guide which made me nervous until I realized that the guide he was using must be over 5 years old because on average he charges $40-$50 for mint on mint card 1984 series Gi joes. I mean all of us sealed Gi Joe collectors know that the majority of the prices in price guides are way off to begin with.

I mean try getting a: fang, skyhawk, claw, asp for $30 or less which is what they book for in teh current Lee's Guide. I am hopefully going to be getting together with this dealer in a week or two and the worst part of all of this is raising enough cash to buy as much as possible. I'm worried $3,000 may not be enough to buy a crap load which is what I would like to do.

So what about my predicament? I mean if you had an opportunity like this and knew you couldn't raise a huge amount of cash because your a common working man like myself, wouldn't it get to you? I know $3,000 is a good amount of money, but I have collector friends who can lay down $10,000 and not blink an eye. Man I wish I had that kind of cash.

    Any Opinions???
    Thanks

    3 Thoughts
    1) Spread the wealth and let him parcel out a little here.
    2) Get the coin through some means and pay it back by selling the stuff you don't "need" as much. You'll come out ahead and still have everything you want.
    3) Have him do it for you in doses so you can spread out the financial pain.

PM sent. I would take out a loan at a payday loan place. Then put what you do not want on Ebay with reasonable BIN. It will sell quick and you will make a profit.

An Update on Old Store Stock

    Hey:Guys,

Just thought I would update you on the gi joe stuff. I just heard from the guy and we are getting together in about two weeks to set up a deal. The guy is going to get a load of more unopened stuff and then we'll deal. Can you imagine it? A load of unopened Gi Joe items plus what he currently has (80-90 carded items 1982-1986)? I can hardly wait to see what shows up. If any of you have want lists and know what you might pay for the items, please let me know and I'll keep in touch if those items come in.

It's a Great Month to be a Collector!!!!

    Take Care
