Considering we do not stand on our heads, the numbers on the tower trump those on the deck for purposes of a TOY. And if you own more than one Flagg, you can number one 99, one 66, one 69 and one 96 if you want to.Originally Posted by the doctor
Hasbro would not in all reality, numbered the aircraft carrier to be a real vehicle and would most likely have given it fictitious numbers, and as 66 was taken and 99 not, then it would be correct to have 99 on there. As for the art work, since kids and toy makers don't know these things having 99 on the tower and then to have the front of the deck read 66 on to box, wouldn't have made sense, so the numbers on the deck are backwards for an artistic purpose, not accuracy.
Apparently one of the longest standing members of Yojoe.com is now a troll. OK then... This troll is going to find a bridge somewhere and play Warhammer.
Thanks, Agent Orange, for your input. I had seen that AAV before, and I immediately thought of the GI Joe vehicle. I just didn't know what the vehicle was called at the time. I also updated the Skystorm.
djett, did you find anything on the FANG, yet? I saw a helo with a similar tail, but it was closed-canopy and a tad bigger than the FANG (about the size of the Korean War choppers in M*A*S*H).
-Added APC based on research and scrutinizing over the details of APCs.
-Moved Mauler MBT to the "obvious" section. Though the Mauler's real-life counterpart is very elusive in terms of what to search for, once you see it there is virtually no denying its influence. In fact, it reveals that the Mauler is one of the most true-to-origin toys in the whole series.
The fang is just a Gyrocopter with some body panels added to the frame and some weapons. I have a link to a pic of one here, not just like the fang, but same basic type of aircraft.

LOL. It even has little missiles.
EDIT by Rooster3D: this post has statements that have been proven unverifiable or flat-out wrong...
Different from that Gyrocopter, the FANG actually has a turbine engine. There are intakes on either side of the pilot's head, and a huge exhaust. Contrary to its name, the FANG (Fully Armed Negator Gyrocopter) is actually a full-on helicopter with full power to the main rotor. The only thing it shares with a "gyrocopter" is size and open cockpit. As far as the "negator" part, what is that all about? I can only guess it is in reference to the tail rotor, negating the effect of the main rotor turning the craft through transferred momentum. I suppose a non-powered main rotor would not twist the vehicle in the air. But if you just say "helicopter", then that whole "neutralizing the torque inherent in a turbine-powered rotary wing" system is implied. What is boils down to is, even though the name is wrong, "FAH" does not sound as intimidating as "FANG".

If it helps the whirlwind is a dual barrel adaptation of the Vulcan system deployed on the M113 chassis in the 70s (prior to them trying Sgt York ADA gun system).
Check out this Hydrofoil I found! The hydrofoils look alot like the ones on the MORAY Hydrfoil Vehicle:
The above pic came from here:
I'm glad that the deck number thing was brought up - I will certainly be putting them on the right way when I get my Flagg.
