Hi all,
I bought a lot of 16 Cobra soldiers (1983 version) from someone who his grandfather worked for Hasbro in the 80s. His grandfather got the soldiers in that time (he/she says...).
Take a look at the picture. The one at the left is my original (with paint wear). The rivets in the shoulders and in the elbows are almost even with the plastic of the arms. For the other fig, the rivets are also even at the arms level, but in the back only. In the front, they are deeper. Also, the inside o-ring is red instead of the traditional black (could have been changed since, I know).
Maybe the rivets were changed after, but all figures look perfect (perfect paint, perfect chest logo, etc.). So, how someone could have broken the rivets (all of them) and need to change those without scrubbing at least a little bit the logo?
So is it a factory error or the grandfather got them unassembled and took care of the rivets himself?
Do I loose market value because of that?
Martin
