G.I. Joe Characters - There are 568 characters across all entities of the G.I. Joe.
Of the 569 total characters that are in toyform (ARAH, ROC, POC, Sgt. Savage, Extreme, Sigma 6 & Internation (All Nations) ), we have a total of 195 characters already in the 25th/ROC/POC design. Not bad at all. One-third of the way done with many new characters (hopefully) on the horizon in this design style.
*NOTE - Stormshadow Ninja-Ku, Scarlet Glenda & Scarlet Quarrel are considered Ninja-Ku, Glenda & Quarrel.
**NOTE – Icestorm, Crazylegs, Glenda & Mercer are on the list to as to being Rumored.
***NOTE – There are more than one version of the Cobra characters. For example, the 2002 Neo-Viper and the 2009 ROC Neo-Viper. They look different but are called the same name, I consider the latest version of the character as an update and not a new character.
****NOTE – Regardless of skin color, the ROC Ripcord is the same person as the ARAH version.

Yes, it is complete. As mentioned, the list is of the 195 figures that are made in the new modern 25th/ME/ROC/POC design. We are 1/3rd of the way done in the new design. The list of 464 characters that you provided me with from HALFBATTLE are within the 568 total characters of the G.I. Joe realm that are in figure form (ARAH, Sgt. Savage, Extreme, Sigma 6, ROC & POC). You are missing 114 other characters from your link that does not include the Sgt. Savage, Extreme, Sigma 6, ROC & POC verse.

If you are talking vintage... then 100 IMHO.

There are all of the basic carded figs (including separate versions of R2 and 3PO), Blue Snaggletooth, Yak Face (mail-away US, and Canada carded), and the 3 Max Rebo band members. This doesn't include Droids or Ewoks figures nor any variants like double-telescoping sabers or color variants (like hair). The 2 different Bespin Guards ARE included as they had individual releases.

If you are including POTF2 and on... then Rebelscum.com should be able to help you count relatively quicky.

EDIT - OOPS, I was talking figures, not characters. Guess it helps te re-read the thread topic! Sorry Bryce.

That depends... If your just talking the original Trilogy and the vintage figs then not too many; prolly under 200.

But if you include the stuff thats come out recently where every dude that had a half second worth of screen time then approximately half a million

Are you just talking characters released in toy form? If so then if you add characters that were never made into toys it adds tons to the list of needs to be made.

This is great. Wonderful list. Ok, my question would expand the topic and sub topic both.

I would ask what line has the most figures and vehicles still in existance?

Vintage Gi Joe or Vintage Star Wars? Who made more and how much is still out there?

I'd guess there are more Joe stuff, but I've always wondered.
