After deciding t go only vintage molds I don't buy any modern Joes but always check them out in the toy sections. I was really disappointed with the Skyhawk (or whatever they call it now). Were are the windows on the cockpit?

Plus what is with all of the missle launchers? I thought they were stupid in the ROC series figs but now they are on all the vehicles. Weren't the missile launchers what helped kill the series in 94?

I'll be getting Firefly and Dusty. Not too interested in the Alley Viper, but I do like the Cobra Shock Trooper....when's that one coming out?

If at first you don't succeed...then parachuting is probably not for you.

I highly recommend this figure, as probably everyone else does as well. The original AV helmet is cool and all, but once you put on the spartan helmet, really skyrockets the figures sweetness. I have 8 of them, and they look outstanding!

    Thumbs up

The Cobra Shock Troopers are due out in January.

I highly recommend the Alley-Vipers. Very cool figures.

I'm not really disappointed in the POC line at all. There are figures I like and others I don't care for, but I mostly like this line. Dusty is one of my favorite new figures, as well as Recondo and the Jungle-Viper. I can't wait for Low Light and Shadow Tracker to come out, which isn't until March.

**** yes. I normally don't buy Cobra figures and I have 4 of these guys. I don't army build either so I'm not sure why I bought that many.

I think there are pluses and minuses to these figures.

On the plus side, they come with great accessories. Since most of the 25th figures were lacking backpacks, it is nice to see so many of these coming with them. Another plus, I think they are striking the perfect balance in the color palette. We don't have the monotony of the RoC line, and we don't have the day glo colors of the 1987-1994 figures.

On the minus side - so many of the same old characters that are constant peg warmers. Want a Jungle Viper or Alley Viper? Good luck. Want 5 of the Ice Destro, Duke, Snake Eyes (in 2 flavors), or Storm Shadow figures? No problem. Another minus - so many of the figures are one step away from perfection. Recondo - can't look down. Snow Job - goggles and hat permanently affixed. Jungle Viper - knobs on the arms. Beachhead - 2 sheathes, 1 knife; plus some weird cord on his leg and bizarre flippers. Seriously, so many of these figures would be great with a few tweaks. I hear a lot of people complaining about these same issues, yet nobody saying "Isn't it great that the Jungle Viper has these knobs on his arm?"

Overall - better than Rise of Cobra in many ways, better than 25th in some ways, but definitely room for improvement.

Yeah and I feel kind of ashamed. I should have left some for others. Heck I don't even have anything displayed. All my stuff has been packed up in boxes for over a year.

Lol, well if your shame becomes unbearable, I might be willing to help relieve you of some of it

I also currently have two Jungle Vipers MOC I'm looking to trade for Alley Vipers or sell.
