Animation Cels 1983 & 1988

Wanted to share these two great pieces I had framed. I have one more that is comic book/snake eyes related that I think will be a masterpiece if I can get Michael's to do it right.

The Timber is hand dated 5-19-83, And Dial Tone is 11-2-88

nice model sheets, I am very curious what the Dialtone one was for, I dont believe it could have been the season 2 sunbow since that should have been dated 1985...maybe a commercial or something along those lines? or does the "5" just look like an 8 ( someone at work has that problem) Also Dialtone looks much older than he was in the toon. any reference or provenance with these?

The cel does say "Thunderclap" on it.... assuming it was for the above commercial

Thanks for the question though, I never thought about that or found the commercial until you asked. You are right he is hard to see.

Super cool model cels! They looks awesome.

Be careful when getting stuff framed by Michaels. Just be 100% sure that they know to use archival materials and not to do anything to the art itself. You'd be amazed how many times they don't.
