Any ARAH Box collectors out there?

I've noticed there are a lot of vintage collectors on the YoJoe boards but I'm curious how many of you collect the boxes as well? I'm in the process of obtaining boxes for all my loose vehicles & playsets but have quite a few checked off my list already. I don't really collect them for the value but more out of a love for the art. If you've got them, post some pics!

I have started to get a few boxes myself for my loose vehicles but I have even bought MISB stuff and opened them to get a mint vehicle with an added bonus of a nice box

Here are some shots from when I last did a summary of my boxes, most have aqquired 4-5 more since then:

Those are fantastic! I've always loved the TTBP art. I can tell you that I'm officially jealous of your Tiger Cat & Terror Drome boxes. I'll work on getting some pics of mine up.

He-he, thanks. The Tiger Cat was actually one of those MISB that got opened and assembled as the loose vehicle I had was in bad condition. The TD box was an added bonus on a playset I bought from the US back in 2009 but I would love to get the boxes for my Defiant and USS Flagg (very limited chance so just dreaming ). As for the TTBP I actually have two of those complete w/boxes now (both AF) and they look great when docked with the USS for a "sea-docking" DIO that I have been planning for a while.

StkhlmDK inspired me to get my boxes out for a photo shoot. I've collected these over a period of 4 years and they are by no means mint condition. Some of them have seen better days (like my poor Flagg box) but like I said, I'm in it for the art not for the value.

Great show guys! I like to pick up original boxes whenever I can. My problem is that I'm running out of room fast and I don't have that many yet. I collect in a lot of areas other than just GI Joe and my toy room is filling up. The wife has refused to let me take over any other rooms. How do you guys deal with the space issue?

I keep whatever boxes I get along the way. Yes, I collect them but I don't seek them out. If they happen to come my way, great. They do take up a lot of space and I really have no place to display them which is why I don't spend much time going for them. The vintage artwork is still far superior to anything we have seen since then.

Yeah, I'm like this also. I actually got rid of a bunch of boxes because they were taking up too much space - I've got a bunch again that I've been meaning to sell on here again...

Well, I've got three things going in my favor: an understanding wife, a basement that is mostly all mine & I mostly collect from 82-89 with a few outside of that range here and there. I've still got a long way to go but at some point I'll need to figure out a different way to display them so I have enough room for all of them.

here is a rough idea of my set up...

Well, please let me know if you guys are getting rid of any. I'd like to fill in some gaps in my collection.
