No offence, but how does an "average" collector get something like this and no nothing about it. Same with the Cobra Commander.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I certainly didn't know much about it before now but I knew it was rare. That is enough to start checking on it before I open it up. And even then, why throw away the complete box of anything vintage like that? Even if it was something completely common, I would still save the box.

That's a strong word to use. While I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a box, I wouldn't fault someone for spending that on something rare they wanted.
