\r\n lol, nice. Love the alien craft. Also like the use of the foam packing to build an ice cave. I keep seeing these at work after we install a printer and can\'t think of what to do with them. Now I\'ve got some ideas.\r\n

\r\n I like all the little details and great props. Hazard vipers - all that. Remember Dustin Hoffman and "Outbreak"? That stuff is the creepiest. Also, that looks like some kind of Serpentor like pool in the middle (where C.C. is standing), but I\'m not sure, looks like something awful bubbling up from down below...\r\n

\r\n I bought another Nocturnal Fire set to trade off some parts. Couldn\'t find a taker on the boards for the FRAG Vipers, so they went up for auction. Of course that means I needed some pictures. Found this "Brick Pathway" stuff at the $1 store(also available at Walmart in the Christmas section) and a chunk of black ABS plastic at work. BLAMO! Instant urban dio. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nI was in such a hurry I didn\'t setup my tripod and only used 1 light. So I had to use a pretty high ISO and a wide aperture. They could have been clearer, but I don\'t know, maybe the grittiness adds to the feel. \r\n \r\nBTW, I\'m digging that Flint/Duke shot Alchemist. Your backyard is the coolest. Makes me want to do a Flint/Duke/Mouse shot since those guys all have the same gear.\r\n

I\'m hoping to do some dios outdoors in the snow this year. \r\n \r\nI like the way you posed your FRAG-Vipers, Geek-Viper. And, Christmas time is a good time to pick up dio accessories. I got a lot of things like miniature pine trees that were picked up on sale after Christmas. \r\n \r\nAnyway, keep them dios pictures coming, everyone! Lighting is superb. \r\n \r\nSo I found these LED x-mas lights that looked about the right scale for Joes. Then I grabbed some scrap plastic from work to use as a ceiling and took a test shot. It\'s not as bright as I would like to the naked eye. But at ISO 800 and a 1/2 second shutter at f11 it works out alright. I did just sort of slap it together so there are light leaks from the surrounding room light. Plus it\'s all just sitting on my actual floor. Also, nothing is painted yet. But the dirty plastic and floor give it a gritty underground parking garage kinda feel right now. \r\n \r\n\r\n

\r\n I had to get a Photobucket account because I still can\'t get into my ImageShack one. \r\n \r\nAnyway, I had these photos I took in my basement quite a long time ago. My home is probably over a hundred years old, so the floor is quite worn. I decided not to turn on any lights down there and just took the photos with the natural light coming in through the windows. \r\n \r\nThe first one is of Duke, Stalker, Snake Eyes, and Beachhead walking around down there. Who knows who or what they\'ll run into. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nDecepticons! \r\n \r\n\r\n
\r\n Thanks, guys! I think that particular Cyclonus figure from the Reveal the Shield line is great. Not only does it have a nice transformation, but it\'s articulation in robot mode is pretty good.\r\n
\r\n I had some fun with the 50th Outnumbered sets today. \r\n \r\nA Cobra Viper Officer hears a Joe vehicle engine in the distance and tells a Cobra Trooper to get ready with his RPG. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nLittle do they know Beachhead has already crept up to there position and is waiting on the other side of it. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nLater on, Destro is captured by Leatherneck and Hawk. \r\n \r\n\r\n
\r\n I can\'t get enough of your backyard man! \n \nAnyway, couple years later, here\'s a couple from my back yard. No story line. I just didn\'t feel like setting up lights. So I went out side to use the sun. Shots turned out pretty good for just using my phone. \n \n\r\n

I injured my lower back last November while doing yard work, so I wasn’t able to get down on the ground like that for several months. I’m better now. I’ll have to take some outdoor pics before winter comes. \r\n Airtight vs Toxo-Zombie: \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\nThis was shot in my basement on an old shelf today. The "test tube" is just an old jar filled with some leftover nails. It\'s a pretty random dio, for sure. \r\n \r\nI had a Toxo-Zombie when I was a kid. Smalljoes.com got some Club ones in, so I ordered one and it arrived this morning with some other figures that I bought. I have the Club\'s Toxo-Viper, as well. It\'s cool that they made them in matching colors.\r\n
\r\n I love that you put the Toxo all in shadow, but you can still make out the outline. Very creepy. \n \nI think I\'m going to try to get some Rock-Viper stuff tomorrow morning before it gets hot. One of our neighbors in our building recently moved out, but over the winter he built a little dirt mound parking spot next to the carports for his VW. Now that he\'s gone there\'s some pretty cool terrain left hanging out over there. \n \nOf course, first I have to finish these archive updates \r\n
\r\n Tomorrow’s Halloween, so I thought I’d do a creepy dio in my basement. This one\'s based on the cover of issue #49 of the 80’s comic. The mummy is Montezuma\'s Skeleton from the DVD pack wrapped up in a strip of gauze. I used battery operated tea lights to give the effect of torches lit in a tomb. This was super random. I threw this together in a few minutes using what I had available. \r\n \r\n\r\n
\r\n The tea lights work rather well I must say. \r\n \r\nHere\'s a photoshopped dio(I hope this counts). I found that the new Stiletto could make this killer pose and as I was editing the pics for the archive I remembered I took this fun shot of an alley behind Capitol Theater before it snowed. So I sized and lighted her digitally to match. The angles aren\'t quite right. I think I\'ll try some reshoots. \r\n \r\n\r\n
\r\n I was doing some yard work this afternoon and decided to try out an idea for a trench type position using sticks and dirt. I took a picture of Short-Fuze in it. \r\n \r\n\r\n
\r\n I was so busy in Orlando I forgot to check these updates. \n \nHOLY CRAP! That trench shot is AWESOME!! The scenery and lighting are just inspired. Great Job man!!! \n \nAnd I love that Tripwire shot. Something about the depth of it. And for a picture of green guys standing in green grass, it really draws the eye.\r\n

Hey, thanks! I’m glad you like ’em! Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to take some more this summer. \n \nI really want to do some ones with vehicles this summer. While my Joes are super accessible and super organized, my vehicles take some effort to get out because I have them in bins on top of one another. I got to work on making them more accessible.\r\n

I hear ya! My Vehicles currently make the base of the giant pile of boxes sitting behind me lol.\r\n
\r\n So I just got a new camera (as outlined in this thread http://forums.yojoe.com/showthread.php?t=153654 ) and got out back to start testing the capabilities and feel it out a little bit. Here\'s one of the shots. I put another one of the same setup from a different angle and some different settings in that previously mentioned thread too. \r\n \r\n\r\n

I think I’ve been using it for around seventeen years now. I think I first visited in 2000 when I got the Internet. I might be wrong. But, it was definitely in the early 00’s. \r\n \r\nNice dio, man. I love the location. It made me run out and take a few pics myself. I got one of Rock ’N Roll on the RAM out back and one of Zartan on the side of my house. I need to further explore using the later location because it’s got a lot of interesting stuff going on like foliage, stones, and stuff. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n\r\n
