New 12" Sideshow figure previewed

oh no, I ordered mine. I don't know why all the forums have such negative reactions. The 3 3/4 figure was popular when it was available. The accessories are great and new head sculpt. Yes the clothing pattern is a re-use but it is a different color. No one complained that Stalker and Beachhead have the same sweater in different colors.

I think what it is, is that this is the third ninja. Red ninja, ninja viper, now this black ninja. There are plenty of other characters that should be made before this, in my opinion. Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, Baroness, Destro just to name a few. This is why I think you're noticing a negative reception for this one.

And as far as the reuse of the sweater, isn't that a normal military sweater? I don't think you notice it too much under the vests anyhow.

I'm sure the re-use of the same clothes, hands, feet, accessories helps cut costs and improve profits. If Sideshow needs to make more excuses for ninjas so they have a fatter budget for other figures, I'm allllll in. I'd rather them take forever to get to Destro or Shipwreck or whoever else and spend the time and money to do it right. If they want to make a ton of ninjas, and there're people out there that want them, I think it's a pretty sound business strategy.

If that's the game plan, I'll play along. At least they're giving us a new head sculpt(killer exclusive) and a different weapons compliment. In the Star Wars line they are the most blatant repaints ever. Zero new parts. Just different colored stripes.
