Thinking about it, maybe it's a way for it to be more of a blockbuster than it would be if it's in theaters the same time as Rise of Batman, Spidey, MIB3, and an Alien prequel summer.

I'm just wondering what Hasbro will do. Will they pull the toys that are out there? If so, We might should pick up the set now, who knows what they'll want to put out in 2013... if we don't all explode in December that is.

Although, I think they could have released it, and if people really liked it, then put the 3-D version out later... But they're probably thinking people won't go back to see it that far after the normal version.

I'm not exactly in mourning. Although I think this movie would be so much better than the first, its still looking kind of cheesy to me from the trailers. Jinx in yellow, Storm Shadow blocking bullets at point blank range, and running up a wall Matrix style to evade Snake Eyes shooting at him, cheesy one liners, Firefly with a leather jacket on, etc...
Why can't these directors stick to what the fans want? Transformers, and Resident Evil movie franchises were ruined for me, and now G.I.JOE.
