Here are a few interesting facts from my culture(Chinese, that is):

    1. The number four is considered unlucky because in Chinese, four means death.

    2. The color black is considered to be an "evil" color(also associated with death).

    3. Giving a clock to some Chinese is considered a curse, because a clock is a symbol with the hidden message that "your time is running out".

    Interesting stuff, isn't it?

But didn't Chinese artists way back in the day only paint in black and said "black is 10 colors" and loved black?
